I am a African first. A South African second. I am one of the  "born-free's". Born into an already freed South Africa. Born with a right to vote, the freedom to live where I wanted,the freedom to attend any school chosen, the right to languages, my culture, my right to equality in every way.

A am the product of what the struggle was all about. With freedom and equality I am meant to be all I dream possible. With expectant optimisism I begin my journey into the future promised to every black child. 

I am also part of a vulnerable demographic, a black female. Praying that I do not become part of statistics related to black females. Hoping that those statistics become extinct.

Ready to learn , ready to make my contribution to society and my country.
